The Neo-Geo MVS hit arcades in 1989. A year later, a home version, called the AES, was released. It was the first 24-bit gaming system, and brought real arcade action home. With a whopping price tag of $799.00 and games that cost $299.00 it was not a system for the masses.

The system is famous for its massively large cartriges. Not only are the dimensions of these carts big, measuring 8x5x1, but their meg count as well. The smaller carts boast approximately 100 megs. The larger carts have more than 300 megs.

One of the joys of the Neo-Geo is its joysticks. They are small enough to fit in your lap, but heavy enought not to fall. They feature four large buttons, and a wonderfully responsive joystick.
