Sony Playstation 3/4 view

The PSX was released in 1994 and was Sony's first video game system. Sony released the system in the USA a year later and renamed it the Playstation. It was the dominant 32-bit gaming system. A smaller version of the system was released in the late 90s. The system was superceded by the Playstation 2 which is backwardly compatible.

The Playstation has a custom 32-bit RISC cpu. It features 2 megabytes of RAM and 1 megabyte of VRAM. It can display 16.7 million colors simultaneously. It can produce full frame video at 30 fps.
